In Sunday's D4 Relief Society council meeting, we anonymously wrote down some of our current struggles and talked through a few of them together. Sisters shared ideas about how to act on promptings, strengthen testimony, overcome loneliness, and celebrate each sister's unique contributions to our sisterhood. Common themes that emerged from the slips of paper on which people wrote struggles include the following: Loneliness Anxiety & depression Being consistent about achieving goals Challenges associated with a having an inactive family member Balancing responsibilities Gaining and strengthening testimony Trusting or having hope in God Improving gospel study/knowledge Financial concerns Overcoming failings & weaknesses Feeling inadequate/comparing self to others Relating to other sisters in RS/fitting in/building friendships Sharing the gospel/reaching out to others with love These are struggles that many sisters in our ward are experiencing.
